The Pacific Council believes that collaboration helps to advance policy change in key priority areas. We are delighted to announce the launch of our first Global City Fellow this summer, in partnership with the United Arab Emirates. Thank you to the U. Participants will then partake in a pitch contest at the end of the program and receive feedback on their ideas from accomplished professionals in the field. Pitch contest participants will receive prizes; Professional development opportunities such as networking and access to high-level meetings with global leaders; Publicity opportunities to showcase projects to Pacific Council partners, and members who are global leaders representing a variety of sectors; Peer networking amongst the inaugural cohort of participants; and Complimentary Pacific Council membership for a year.

The majority of activities will be held virtually. Criteria for selection include: Individuals who can clearly address the problem they wish to solve through a local-to-global project concept that will be refined during their time with Amplify. This may be a project you are working on professionally or through volunteer or pro-bono commitments.

We encourage applicants to be clear in how they are drawing local-to-global connections in their applications. Individuals should be under the age of 40 at the time of application. Applicants may work in city or state government, for a nonprofit or advocacy organization, or in the private sector. Priority will be given to individuals who live or work in the western United States, a region often excluded from the U.
