I have had these for over a month and are very comfortable and love the no hassle no switching on and off. Just put them on charge cradle and turn themselves off. Sound is good for my hd tv. Down side is they don't stay put if get up and move arround and one of the replacable ear covers keeps on coming off. I bought the headphones so I wouldn't have to keep hearing my wife say that the volume of the TV was up too loud.
AT 64 I've lost some of my hearing and have had to turn the volume up on certain tv shows to hear what was being said. No problem for me but big problem for the wife. I did some research and found that the Sony headphones were just what I needed. They work great, can hear conversations on the tv without cranking the volume up which makes the wife happy. The ear pieces don't fit over the whole ear but not that much of a problem.
I sit about 20 feet away from the tv and there is no problem with crip clear sound as long as you maintain line of site with the transmitting unit. Have not tried any other product so can't comment on that but would definitely buy these again if t hese should stop working. Have had them over a month now and no problems. Read full review. Cons: It should be noted that Newegg incorrectly describes these as circumaural headphones ie, over-the-ear, cup-style ; they are actually supra-aural foam covers over the speakers that rest directly on ear, as can be seen in the product photos. If you want something that will seal out external noises, you may want to look elsewhere. Overall Review: Several people have complained about the range on these. I have had no problems. My transmitter is resting inside my entertainment center, behind a glass door, and even in this recessed position, it gives full coverage of my living room. I do not lose signal or even get static until I have left the room and turned a corner to the point I am physically blocked from the room.
To the people who say they lose signal if they move a foot from direct center, they either got a faulty unit, or have it set up wrong. Pros: Nice headphones , and rechargeable too. Cons: Not really "a con" but a limitation of the infra red technology when you turn your head or walk out of line of sight the sound goes , but that is to be expected with the Infra Red Tranmitter technology.
Overall Review: There nice , I paid much more for similar ones from radio shack and they were not as nice at this price a definite bargain.
