Will my pc run windows 7 64 bit

Yes No. Sorry this didn't help. Thanks for your feedback. I'm going to buy a Dell Optiplex and wanted to know if this computer can run Windows 7 Pro 64bit. Here are the Specs. Also should I even bother getting 64bit? I don't know the difference between 32bit and 64bit so if you could also explain that it would be greatly appreciated. This thread is locked. Can you help us improve? Resolved my issue. Clear instructions. Easy to follow. No jargon. Pictures helped.

Didn't match my screen. Incorrect instructions. Too technical. Not enough information. On the next screen, click System. How can I tell if my computer is running a bit or a bit version of Windows? Open About settings. At the right, under Device specifications, see System type. In the right pane, look at the System Type entry.

For a bit version operating system, it will say Xbased PC. Click View and print details. In the System section, you can see whether or not you can run a bit version of Windows under bit capable. An operating system that is designed to work in a computer that processes 64 bits at a time. A bit operating system will not work in a bit computer, but a bit operating system will run in a bit computer.

See bit computing.
