July 5th, Quad 4 processor, mega RAM, mega memory, etc. Limewire Pro Version 4. I've read the firewall stickies. I've got Windows Firewall and have added the Limewire folder and all subfolders as eclusions and trusted applications. I've also got Kaspersky Antivirus and added Limewire as an exclusion there too. I've run full scan on Kaspersky and rebooted the computer and I still can't get Limewire to connect.
It still keeps showing a firewall picture. Now what? Lord of the Rings. I turned off my Windows firewall, rebooted the computer made sure Firewall was still off and restarted Limewire. Still doing the same thing. Will not connect and shows the picture of the firewall still. I double checked my Kaspersky and it shows Limewire as an exclusion. I'll uninstall it and try re-installing it, then try it again.
Do I have to open up a certain port? I know I had to do that to play certain games online. Just curious. The company's customers now have a choice to make.
They can either install Microsoft's update which contains a number of other fixes and risk that Kaspersky Antivirus may no longer work or avoid installing Microsoft's update and have Kaspersky's products work as intended. Kaspersky customers can check out the company's advisory for more information but unfortunately, this is a choice they'll have to make on their own. Looking to secure your Windows machines?
